1959 SINCE ESTABLISHMENTS

In the early 1950s, Thomas Robert Fernandez, a young man from Singapore, exhibited extraordinary compassion by transforming his home into a mini-school for underprivileged children in his neighborhood. His selfless efforts earned him the nickname "Good Samaritan," drawing a parallel to the biblical figure who helped a beaten and robbed traveler.

On May 7, 1954, a Singaporean newspaper published an article titled "Good Samaritan," highlighting Thomas's noble work. This article caught the attention of Jonas, an elderly German herbalist, who was deeply moved by Thomas's dedication. Jonas reached out to Thomas, expressing his admiration and offering a gift of knowledge: a meticulously researched formulation for an herbal ointment.

 

Jonas's formulation was designed to treat various bodily ailments affordably, providing a cost-effective alternative to conventional medical remedies. Thomas embraced this opportunity, diligently working on the formulation to create a beneficial product for his community. By 1959, the ointment was ready for distribution. Thomas named it "CHISELS" and began promoting it through direct sales, relying on word of mouth and flyers to spread the word.

 

Through his dual efforts in education and healthcare, Thomas Robert Fernandez continued to exemplify the spirit of a true Good Samaritan, impacting his community positively and enduringly.

why CHISELS?

Years after launching CHISELS, Thomas Robert Fernandez recognized the need to make his beneficial ointment accessible to a broader audience. He decided to expand its reach by making CHISELS available through retail outlets and promoting it through advertisements.

 

However, due to other commitments, Thomas was unable to pursue large-scale manufacturing himself. He handed over the manufacturing rights of CHISELS essential oil to Biocomm, entrusting them with his vision of making CHISELS an international brand.

 

Today, CHISELS is poised to make its mark on the global market with a new look designed for international appeal. This transformation reflects Thomas's enduring commitment to helping people and his aspiration for CHISELS to become a widely recognized and trusted name in essential oils worldwide.
